Impact of Moderate Aerobic Exercise on Menstrual Cycle Symptoms in Sedentary Women
UCCS is seeking women ages 18–40 to participate in a study on how moderate aerobic exercise impacts menstrual cycle symptoms in sedentary women. Participants will engage in regular exercise for about two months, complete two lab visits at the Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center, and track symptoms at home. Eligible participants will receive information about their bone density, body composition, physical activity, and menstrual cycle symptoms.
Fasted Exercise and Menstrual Cycle Health
UCCS is recruiting women ages 18–40 for a study on how fasted exercise affects menstrual cycle health. Participants will track menstrual cycle symptoms, hormone levels, and lifestyle factors for about three months, complete a lab visit at the Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center, and take part in three exercise sessions. Eligible participants may receive information about their fitness and health, as well as up to $225 for completing the study.
Exercise, Stress, and Cognition Influence the Risk of Menstrual Cycle Irregularities
UCCS is recruiting women ages 18–35 who regularly run or cycle to participate in a study on how exercise, stress, and cognition influence menstrual cycle health. Participants will track menstrual cycle symptoms, lifestyle factors, and hormone levels for about three months, collect saliva samples at home, and attend two lab visits at the Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center. Eligible participants may receive health and fitness information as well as up to $150 for completing the study.
Cordyceps Supplementation and Running Performance
The UCCS Human Physiology and Nutrition Department is recruiting recreational and competitive runners ages 18–50 for a research study on cordyceps supplementation and its effects on sports performance. Participants will take cordyceps capsules daily for 8 weeks, complete VO2 max and lactate threshold testing at the beginning and end of the study, and answer a short questionnaire about their experience. Eligible participants will receive their fitness testing results and information on cordyceps supplementation.
