Master of Sciences in Applied Physiology Elite Sport Performance MSc

The Applied Physiology Elite Sport Performance (MSc) track, or sub plan, is primarily designed for students who wish to work in the Sports Science environment, particularly with elite athletes. As students move through this track in Elite Sport Performance, they will complete 9 credit hours of Internship experience (HPNU 5990) in environments of elite athletic performance. 

The program of study will include classes complementary to a greater understanding of human applied physiology and may include courses in other departments to enhance specialized knowledge, research practicum experiences and independent studies to develop self-sufficiency. Students will complete a comprehensive exam as the capstone experience prior to graduation.

INTERNSHIP INFORMATION:
Variability is expected between semesters, but possible sites of Internship experiences are:

  • US Olympic and Paralympic Training Center (Sport Physiology, and Strength and Conditioning)
  • USA Cycling
  • USA Volleyball
  • National Strength and Conditioning Association
  • US Air Force Academy Athletics
  • 10th Special Forces Group 
  • Colorado College Athletics
