Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences Online Education Initiative Funds 2024-2027

Request for Online Education Initiative Funds 2024-2027

Due to temporary (2024-2027) university funding, Johnson Beth-El is offering opportunities for interested faculty to request financial support for the development of various online initiatives.

Online initiatives may include, but are not limited to:
1.    Converting an existing in-person course to online/hyflex
2.    Making substantial quality improvements/revisions to an existing online/hyflex course
3.    Creating a new online/hyflex course
4.    Development of certificates, digital badges (i.e., micro-credentials), etc.

Expenses:
Each initiative may include a $4,500 stipend or course offload. Funds can also be used for third party expenses, such as a course designer, online software/equipment, marketing, etc.

All conversion of courses, revisions of courses, and new course developments should consider different elements of the Online Course Quality Review (OSCQR) rubric. Please note that factors like curricular development, degree growth, strategic enrollment growth, student interest, and financial sustainability will be considered when making a final decision. Final decisions for each project will be made by your respective department chair and the dean. A brief report will be required upon completion of all funded projects detailing project accomplishments and final budget.
