Admission Requirements
- Priority Application: All materials received by January 20.
- Final Admission Deadline: All materials received by April 15th.
Admission to the program is competitive based on controlled enrollment. Applicants meeting the priority enrollment deadline will be given preference for available seats in the program. Remaining applicants meeting the final admission deadline will be awarded admission based on availability of seats.
Admission to the Master of Sciences in Health Promotion program requires:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above
- Applicants must submit:
- 3 letters of reference
- Official transcripts from all institutions where undergraduate credit was earned
- Goal statement
- Resume or CV
- Application fee $60.00.
Streamlined Admission for UCCS graduating Seniors and Alumni requires:
- Must be about to graduate or graduated from UCCS in the last 4 years
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.25 or above, OR, Health Promotion program specific GPA of 3.25 or above.
- Applicants must submit:
- 2 letters of reference (one from a current program faculty member)
- Official transcripts from all institutions where undergraduate credit was earned
- Goal statement
- Resume or CV
- Application fee $60.00.
International Applicants
In addition to the admissions requirements above, for international applicants:
- If English is not the primary language, must take the TOEFL, DUOLINGO, or the IELTS. TOEFL recommended score is 85. DUOLINGO recommended score is 105. IELTS recommended score is 6.5.
- May be required to participate in a Skype interview as part of the interview process to assist with English proficiency evaluation
* Upon the successful completion of your online application, you will receive a private link to upload each foreign post-secondary transcript from institutions you have attended. These transcripts must include all courses and grades, must be issued in the original language, and be accompanied by certified English translations when applicable.
This service is provided at no cost for UCCS applicants.
