Nursing

The Nursing Department equips students for fulfilling careers in the diverse healthcare industry. From hospitals to schools and insurance companies, a nursing degree offers abundant career opportunities.

Health Sciences

The Health Sciences Department prepares graduates in Health Promotion to be effective professionals in a variety of health and wellness settings, in Athletic Training to provide holistic health care to active individuals, and in Physical Therapy to provide quality rehabilitation services to a full spectrum of patients.

The Health Sciences Department strives to support the development of human-centered and resilient health and wellness professionals. 

Human Physiology & Nutrition

The Human Physiology & Nutrition (HPNU) Department prepares students for advanced healthcare careers through a science-based curriculum with flexible degree options.

The HPNU Department offers a strong foundation in human physiology and nutrition, with elective options to align with specific career goals.

Health Care Science

Medical Lab Science Option

This option will prepare students for certification as medical laboratory technicians.

Allied Health Completion Option

This option is designed for Allied Health practitioners who have completed a certificate program or Associate's Degree in an allied health profession and desire a Bachelor's degree.

Baccalaureate education provides entry-level preparation for professional nursing practice.

Traditional Option (BSN)

Baccalaureate education provides entry-level preparation for professional nursing practice.

Accelerated Option

This 16 month nursing program is designed for individuals who hold a Bachelor’s degree in another field, or have completed a minimum of 57 of credits of undergraduate studies, and complete the required prerequisites.  There are two pathways to earning an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

RN to BSN Program

This 16-month nursing program is designed for individuals who hold a Bachelor's degree in another field and wish to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).

Applied Physiology

The Applied Physiology graduate program is geared towards students who plan to continue on to a doctoral degree.

This program is an ideal choice for those who are interested in advanced study in this field.

Athletic Training

The Master of Sciences in Athletic Training program is a graduate-level program that prepares students to become athletic trainers.

This program covers sports medicine, injury assessment, management, and rehabilitation techniques.

Health Promotion

The Health Promotion program is a graduate-level program that prepares students for careers in health promotion, improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities through education and interventions.

This program covers public health, health behavior theory, and program planning and evaluation, and equips graduates with the skills to design, implement, and evaluate health promotion programs in various settings.

The Nurse Practitioner program with a clinical specialty trains students to become highly qualified in their chosen field, with advanced nursing skills including patient diagnosis and treatment, medication prescription, and preventive care.

This program is suitable for those looking to expand their nursing skills and provide specialized healthcare services.

Post-Master's Certificate

The Post BSN to DNP program builds upon the base of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and excellence of practice-based validations by standard sets of competencies in national certification processes and specialty credentials.

Post-Master's Program

The Post-Masters to DNP program builds on a Master's in Nursing to prepare students for careers as Nurse Practitioners or Clinical Nurse Specialists.

This program is designed to ensure that graduates meet national standards for competency and can earn certification in their specialty.
