Nursing, MSN — Nurse Practitioner
This program prepares the student to become a Nurse Practitioner with a selected clinical specialty.
The Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) represents the highest level of preparation in nursing practice based on nursing science and prepares leaders for nursing practice. We offer two degree programs for those interested in completing a DNP, including our Post Master's and Post BSN programs. We invite you to explore these degrees today:
Post-Masters's Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Builds upon the base of a Master’s Degree in Nursing Preparation in Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Clinical Nurse Specialty (CNS) programs and excellence of practice based on validations by standard sets of competencies in national certification processes and specialty credentials.
Post-BSN to Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP)
The Post BSN to DNP program builds upon the base of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and excellence of practice-based validations by standard sets of competencies in national certification processes and specialty credentials.

- Post-Master's Nurse Practitioner certificate program
- Advance your healthcare career with our comprehensive Post-Master's Nurse Practitioner certificate program that prepares you for patient-centered care.
- Spanish-English Medical Interpretation
- The Spanish/English Medical Interpreter Training Program is a 44-hour training program designed for bilingual individuals who speak English and Spanish and work in the medical field or in a healthcare setting.
- RN Refresher Program
- Developed to keep registered nurses knowledgeable about current nursing techniques and practices.
Rural Health Workforce Initiative
Rural Health Workforce Initiative - Scholarship
Colorado Legislature appropriated funds to multiple universities to provide stipend money for the nursing workforce in rural and frontier counties. UCCS Johnson Beth-El is targeting students enrolled in the RN to BSN or graduate nursing programs for the scholarship initiative. Students selected for this scholarship must commit to practicing for two years in a rural and frontier counties in Colorado.
